 Thanks for dropping by the blog!  I hope that you’re having a spectacular Tuesday. Isn’t it a good feeling to be in the midst of summer?! It’s just got this lazy joy about it…I’m big into it.

I’ve been enjoying laying off the road  for this season and focusing on songwriting.  My tentative plan is to make another full-length record in September, so until then, I need to be writing it! (Hence the artsy fartsy picture above)

 It’s a great feeling to be immersed the songwriting mindset. To me, that means having the “Idea Antenna” up and the “Truth Radar” on at all times.  Sometimes I feel like I’m panning for gold. Just as a 49er would take 10 hrs of sitting by the river with his pan in the water only to get a few ounces of gold, I can sit behind an instrument with an open notebook for 10 hrs and MAYBE get 3:30 min of good song. But man, I love the thrill of the chase and exciting feeling of uncovering something true. It’s a good life and I want to thank you for it.

 Again, thanks for believing, supporting, and connecting. You make this real for me. I can’t believe that this is my job and the picture above is my office. 

Anyways, I gotta go clean the house now, because we are having a PARTY tonight!!!
